Norfolk Grange Hall has been at the center of its community for over a century. Serving as a house of worship, town meeting hall, and social gathering spot, this building presents a unique view into local history and culture. Norfolk Grange Hall received a $5000 award in recognition of its participation in the Partners in Preservation 2009 initiative.

What is the historical significance of this site?
Originally built in 1863 as a Baptist church, Norfolk Grange purchased the building in 1921. In 1922, the Town Hall burned down, and Norfolk Grange Hall assumed its activities and duties for the next 27 years. During that time, Norfolk Grange Hall served as a town meeting room, voting place and community events hall. Today, Norfolk Grange Hall’s significance lies with the role it played in serving the community, along with the numerous individual lives it touched.

What is the current use of the site?
Norfolk Grange Hall is a gathering spot for community residents and organizations ranging from the 4-H, to the Norfolk Fire Department. The Grange is also available to private citizens who wish to hold small events, including political gatherings.

Norfolk Grange Hall is dedicated to serving the community it has been a part of for over a century. The setting of many important meetings and votes, the hall has also hosted school dances and games.
