 Old North Church

About the Old North Church

The steeple of the Old North Church is where, at Paul Revere’s orders, the two lanterns that ignited the American Revolution were displayed on April 18, 1775. The Old North still serves the community, as it has for almost three centuries, by giving tours, sponsoring educational programs, and hosting a variety of community functions. Old North church was awarded a Partners in Preservation grant of $18,000 that will be used to repair and strengthen the steeple, securing this storied piece of American history.
